Media presentation training
At PCA we have a team of trainers who have worked, and who are working, in the media as journalists, interviewers, trainers, programme makers, producers and directors. Our media presentation training courses cover all aspects of dealing with the media: how to prepare yourself and your information; how to get your message across in the manner you would wish; and how to handle unhelpful and aggressive interviewing. Learning how to stay poised, cool and focused in unfamiliar and stressful surroundings, to stay "on message" and present yourself, your cause and your company in the best possible light, is an invaluable skill to acquire in today's media-influenced climate. Media presentation training is essential for all of this. The physical, emotional and mental processes need to be experienced and honed if you are going to give a good account of yourself and ensure a "win-win" outcome. But given the very nature of the media there is sometimes very little preparation time so all delegates need to ensure they are primed and practised and ready for the challenge. Since time is often short all the techniques and skills involved in media presentation need to be learnt and brought up to speed regularly. It is too late to leave the studio saying: "He didn't ask me". Opportunities are to be seized and used in a positive way. In the worst-case scenario good training can at least ensure that a problem is minimised and put in perspective. | |||||
