Crisis management training

Being prepared for the worst-case scenario is an essential element of good business planning. If an organisation is ill prepared for a potential crisis the damage to its reputation, and to that of the individual(s) involved can be swift and severe. Damage can be limited, however, by learning the skills required to handle such a crisis.

At PCA we explore any possible areas of crisis, and prepare training scenarios and practical training strategies to ensure all the relevant staff are able to handle themselves, and all company matters, with total professionalism, dignity and integrity under pressure.

This involves learning how to handle the media when under great stress and determining who is best suited to communicate the different types of information - in essence "casting". The right face and voice can make a huge difference to the way in which news is communicated and received.

Crisis management training is very practical with a dynamic mixture of  "hands-on" exercises and advice from a team of professional journalists, a series of role-playing and problem-solving exercises, news briefings and "happenings". The training is stimulating and challenging to ensure delegates are fully aware of the dangers of being unprepared for the unexpected.
